Richard Brey Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Brey (Hudson, Michigan), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 19, 2026 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Charles Brey; his brother Herman Brey; his siblings-in-law, Danna Brey, Patricia Hanchett, Carol Celmer, Norman Wilson, Gerald Kelso and Robert Hanchett; his granddaughter Cecelia Rose Gray; his niece Gracie Czarnik; and his nephew Nicholas Celmer.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara "Jean" Brey; his mother Joyce Ogdahl; his daughters, Kim Gray (Bill) of Blissfield, Michigan, Traci Calkins (Nick) of Monroe, Michigan and Dawn Hoffman (Andy) of Sylvania, Ohio.; his grandchildren, Ashleigh Gray, Caitlyn Gray, Gillian Gray, Deanna Hoffman, Breyden Hoffman, Ella Calkins, Ben Hoffman, Audrey Calkins and Lucy Calkins; his siblings, Leslie Brey (Cathy), Carrie Adams (Fred), Jill Ausmus and Sarah McCrea (Joel); his niece Jenny Meuser of Lexington; his great-nephew Jake; and his great-niece Abby.
The family kindly requests that donations in Richard's memory be made to Sacred Heart Church.
