He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Merillat (Emma Merillat) and Emma Merillat; his stepmother Mary Merillat; his in-laws, Harley and Marie McCaskey; his brothers, Donald and Jack Merillat; and his brothers-in-law, Richard McCaskey (Mary Ellen), Robert McCaskey (Luella) and Jim McCaskey.
He is survived by: his wife Susan McCaskey; his children, Scott Merillat (Raquel), Kimberly Mossing (Robert) and Jennifer Gould (John); his grandchildren, Torin Merillat (Morgan Lolley), Kiegan Merillat (Bradey Osborn), Daelyn Grieder (Luke), Seth, Emma Mossing, Taylor, Carolyn and Evan Gould; his great grandchildren, Oakley, Clare Merillat, Ilah and Graham Grieder; his sister Mary Austin (Dennis); and his siblings-in-law, Carol, Rosie Merillat, Bill McCaskey (Joyce), Duane McCaskey (Arlene), Rita Borton (Dick), Annabelle Peterson, Peggy Johnson (Larry), Vickie McCaskey, Karen Beck (Robert) and Larry McCaskey.
Memorial contributions in honor of Ron are suggested to benefit Fayette Christian Church-Disciples of Christ or the Morenci Education Foundation.
