He was predeceased by: his parents, Marlin Sr. Cox and Flora Cox (Stanley); and his siblings, Marin Cox Jr., Gordon Cox, Maxine Harper and Mayline Lewis.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Cox; his children, Sherry Temple (Garry), Troy Cox (Lori Haley), Kendall Cox (Marianne) and Chester Cox; his grandchildren, Dwight Temple (Emma), Halley Box (Cody), Payton Temple (Molly), Tania Roehm (Adam), Samantha Trevino (Rogelio Alvarado), Robert Blair, Bailey Cox, Kailah Nerli, Lacey Massri (Hussein), Kendrah Caldwell (Kyle), Cody Berryhill (Courtney), Joshua Berryhill, Ashley Wells (Shane), Kenzie Cox (Stephen Herman), Cole Cox (Mercedes), Trevor Cox (Amanda), Aiden Cox and Alexis Cox; and his nephew Lonnie Cox (Brenda). He is also survived by thirty four great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Purse Funeral Home (2959 N Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI 49221). The military honors will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
