He was predeceased by: his parents, William Amos Ruppert and Ruth Marie Rupert (Hood) of Wayne County, Michigan.; his son Scott Lewis Harding; his adoptive parents, Gerald William Harding and Leona H Crawford (Pritchard); and his siblings, Edith "Edie" Rupert Adams and Gerald Lee "Jerry" Harding.
He is survived by: his daughter Sherrie Harding Vander Sloot (Micheal); his brother Wayne Rupert; his grandchildren, Kenneth J Barrett (Cheryl), Paul M Barrett (Nicole), Casey Barrett, Aubrey L Zmrzlik (Dustin), Scott Vander Sloot (Maddeline), Jeremiah and Nina; his great grandchildren, Cyris, Peyton, Christofer (Kyia), Dane, Berayediah, Sabin, Ashlyn, Nathan, Lailah, Jackson, Oliver and Charles; and his close friend Audra Shea.
