He is survived by: his wife Arleen J. Kooienga; his children, Terry Kooienga (Kathy) and Shirley Hamming (Rick); his siblings, John Kooienga, Garrietta Van Koevering, Wayne Kooienga, Marilyn Rennison, Marion Koster, Gerald Kooienga, Elma Meeuwsen, Lloyd Kooienga (Vicky), Floyd Kooienga (Mary), Lorraine Folkert, Twilla DeWitt, Joan Sattler and Lois Dykstra (Stan); and his sister-in-law Aletha Kooienga. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.
