It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Gerrits of Hudsonville, Michigan, who passed away on September 15, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Barbara Gerrits to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerrit Assink and Caroline Assink; and her daughter Kathy Lambers. She is survived by: her husband Art; her children, Sandy Marlink (Brian), Sharon Sytsma (Dave) and Tim Gerrits (Jodi); her son-in-law Barry Lambers; her grandchildren, Eric, Kristi, Nicole Marlink, Jared Lambers (Tatjcha), Justin Lambers, Kevin Sytsma, Matt Sytsma (Ellie), Max Gerrits (Carissa), Claire Kalkman (Jake) and Andrea Morrison (Dylan); and her great grandchildren, Miles, Calvin Sytsma, Charlotte Kalkman and Harrison Gerrits.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Messiah Christian Reformed Church (2900 Springdale St, Hudsonville, MI 49426).
