Daniel George Eerdmans Obituary

Daniel George Eerdmans, age 57, went to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, August 4, 2025.

It's hard to put into words what this man meant to us all. He was our hardworking and fearless leader who loved being part of the team. Both strong in his faith and bold to share it, Daniel affected everyone around him. You couldn't help but be inspired by his love and respect for the Word of God and his endless devotion to his wife of 34 years, his five children and their spouses, and his six grandchildren. We smile when we remember his exuberance to enjoy life to the fullest, especially if it included family, ice cream, or travel - or better yet, all three!

Daniel was generous and the biggest champion of his children, with every single one of them considering him to be one of their best friends. His passion for the lost and hurting around the world will always be remembered. Daniel has left us an excellent path to be followed and we count it a joy to be part of it!We ache for his presence, but know that we will see him again!"Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life; the one who believes in Me will live, even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?'" -John 11:25–26 "...so that you will not grieve as indeed the rest of mankind do, who have no hope... and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore, comfort one another with these words." -1 Thessalonians 4:13–18.

He will swallow up death for all time, and the Lord God will wipe tears away from all faces... -Isaiah 25:8Daniel was preceded in death by his parents Tillie and Dirk Eerdmans; nephew, Lucas Derksen. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Rebecca Eerdmans; children Liberty (Brendan) Muir, Nathaniel (Katie) Eerdmans, Joseph (Autumn) Eerdmans, Lydia (Caleb) Brown, Juliet (Aidan) O'Dell; grandchildren Aurora Danielle, Leonardo Daniel, Dove, Leeland, Felix, Nicholai George, and two unborn babies on the way; siblings Dirk (Ardene) Eerdmans, Linda (Phil) Jonker, Carol Eerdmans, Donald Eerdmans, Mary Rose (Ken Rose preceded in death), David (Kathy) Eerdmans (Daniel's twin brother); along with 35 nieces and nephews and 71 great-nieces and -nephews on the Eerdmans side; Rebecca's parents Michael and Elouise Kuncaitis; Rebecca's siblings Michael (Carmen) Kuncaitis, Matthew (Angela) Kuncaitis, Chris (Melissa) Kuncaitis, and Benjamin (Amy) Kuncaitis; along with 16 nieces and nephews and 24 great-nieces and -nephews on the Kuncaitis side.
