She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Peter Zuidema and Myrth Zuidema (Briggs); her husband Harry Karel; her children, Kathryn Sweet (Paul) of Hudsonville, Thomas Karel (Carol) of Ravenna and Greg Karel (Jennifer) of Marietta, GA; her grandchildren, Megan Heller (Ryan), Amy Pruitt (Kevin), Jason Karel (Christina) and Samantha Karel; and her siblings, Herbert Zuidema (Norma), Barbara Gilbert and Doris Borgman. She was also cherished by 10 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
