He was predeceased by: his parents, Matt Westrate and Ruth Westrate (Wassink); and his daughter Sarah Marie. He is survived by: his wife Diane Molewyk; his grandchildren, Cynthia, Dan Kuipers, Stephanie, Lem Pierrenoel, Matt, Jessica Westrate and Rita Westrate; his siblings, Nancy (Elmer Sjaarda), Arlyn Westrate, Ron (Rhonda Westrate) and Randy (Marcia Westrate); and his siblings-in-law, Randy Molewyk, Cal Molewyk, Mark, Linda Molewyk and Denise Molewyk. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many friends.
