He was predeceased by: his wife Alana Landefeld; his parents, John Landefeld and Martha P. Oliver; his parents-in-law, Carl and Marian Sommer; and his sister-in-law Doni Hamacher.
He is survived by: his children, Tara Landefeld and Trason Landefeld; and his siblings, Bob Landefeld (Kathy), Pat Krey (Chuck), Linda Landefeld, Dave Sommer (Pat), Scott Sommer (Tina) and Brian Hamacher. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In honor of Jim and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans.
