He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Rittenhouse and Anna Rittenhouse. He is survived by: his wife Vicki Rittenhouse; his children, Katie Rittenhouse, Brianna Rittenhouse and Thomas Rittenhouse; and his siblings, David (Flora Rittenhouse), Ruth (Marc Nelson), Stephen (Janie Rittenhouse), Carol (Mark Olexa) and Thomas (Kim Rittenhouse). He is also survived by several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

“Worked together with John back in 2001 - 2004 with Gambro corp. He always encouraged me with scripture when I was so tired or down. He always seemed cheerful. It was nice knowing another male nurse but to be a believer in Jesus was special and we had the same name!. Cant believe he beat me to heaven.
