He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Herweyer and Clora Herweyer; his wife Martha; his parents-in-law, Richard and Alice Laarman; and his brothers-in-law, Ken Kortman, Marv Koetje and Larry MacDonald.
He is survived by: his children, Karen, Craig Longstreet, Joanne, Jon George, Steve and Tami Herweyer; his grandchildren, Kevin, Laura Longstreet, Rebecca, Matthew Litts, Jennifer, Ricky Kurnat, Josh, Kelly George, Jason, Camryn Longstreet, Julia, Zack Cebelak, Nicholas, Jocelyn Longstreet, Michael, Sara Herweyer, Krista, Aram Brady and Andrew Herweyer; his sisters, Irene Machado and Helen MacDonald; and his siblings-in-law, Nella, Glenn Niezink, Carol Koetje, Carl and Brenda Laarman. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren, several loving nieces and nephews.
