He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Veenema and Grace Veenema; his brothers, Dan Veenema and Butch Veenema; his in-laws, Gerritt and Dena Schut; and his siblings-in-law, Larry and Diane Schut.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Veenema (Schut); his children, Christie Pikaart, Mike, Bridget Veenema, Todd and Heidi Veenema; his grandchildren, Jordan, Tayler, Joey Honderd and Connor; his great grandchildren, Khloe, Grey, Brooks, Ty and Tate; and his in-laws, Gerald Schut (Carole), Gary Schut (Elaine) and Don Schut (Sandy). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel Hospice.
