He was predeceased by: his parents, Dan Dyke and Dorothy Van Dyke (Lamberts); and his siblings, Alice Dewys (Bernie), Alvin Van Dyke, Joan Botsis, Lorraine Wicks (Frank), Marian Kortman, Ken Van Dyke, Lois Plaggemars and Pauline Jousma.
He is survived by: his wife Zita Pohler; his children, Rick Miedema (Mary), Rol Miedema (Terri), Renee Hop (Daryl), Rhonda Schruer (Robert) and Rodney Miedema (Damir Jukic); and his sisters-in-law, Marge Van Dyke and Audrey Van Dyke. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren.
