He was predeceased by: his parents, William A. VanderLugt and Grata VanderLugt; his parents-in-law, Roger and Kay Raak; and his sisters-in-law, Jan Kimm and Beth DeJonge.
He is survived by: his wife Audrey; his children, Tim (Dana VanderLugt), Kristin (Tim Raredon), Amy (Jack VanderPloeg) and Julie (Chris Emelander); his grandchildren, Caleb, Joshua, Levi VanderLugt, Ashley, William, Noah Raredon, Samuel, Tyler, Lucas VanderPloeg, Andrew and Mackenzie Emelander; his siblings, Barb (Merle Koops), Tom (Laura VanderLugt), Shery (Pete Lyons), Lynnell (Jim Haverkamp) and Janis (Jim Drew); and his in-laws, David, Janet Raak, Karen, Jack VandenHeuvel, Dan, Kathy Kimm, Scott, Brenda DeJonge, Randy and Holly Raak.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hillcrest Christian Reformed Church (3617 Hillcrest Rd, Hudsonville, MI 49426).
