He was predeceased by: his wife Ann Renkema; his son Marc Renkema; his parents, John Martin and Anna Renkema (Bremer); his brother Peter; his sister-in-law Ann Renkema; his brother John Renkema; and his brother-in-law Klaas Leistra.
He is survived by: his children, Renee Anema (Ken), Steve Renkema (Anna), Denise Tjeerdsma (Brent), Joel Renkema (Sophia) and Eric Renkema; his daughter-in-law Kari Renkema; his siblings, Etty Leistra, Paul Renkema (Teresa), Matt Renkema (Nelda) and Jean Talsma (Mike); and his sister-in-law Wilma Renkema. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
