Michael Duffey Sr. Obituary
Michael Duffey, Sr., 76 years, of Ida, died Wednesday, November 29, 2017, in his residence under the care of Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Friends may call on Sunday, December 3, 2017, from 1-8 p.m. in Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI. He will lie in state in Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI, on Monday, December 4, 2017, from 9 a.m. until the Mass of the Resurrection at 10 a.m.
Fr. Joseph Pfeiffer of The Society of Saint Pius X, Boston, KY, will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle, MI. Born August 21, 1941, in Toledo, OH. Michael was the son of Robert and Ethel (Sauer) Duffey. He was a 1959 Macomber High School Graduate. He married Barbara Zaino on October 14, 1961 in St. Ann's Catholic Church, Toledo, OH.
Barbara died October 8, 2009. He was a sheet metal worker and business manager for Local 6, Toledo, OH. He loved watching deer and birds from his home in Ida. He would feed all the animals. He especially loved his trees and the outdoors. Survivors include: sons, Michael Jr. and Christopher (Debbie); a brother, Dennis (Kathy) Duffey; and grandchildren, Karenna and Kelsey.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and sisters, Patricia Szakovits and Frances Greenwald. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions for Mr. Duffey can be made to: Masses be paid for the repose of Michael's soul.
