He was predeceased by: his father Lyle Melvin Vernon (McMichael); his siblings, Lyle Vernon Jr. and Edith Wamphler; his sons, Ronald "Ronnie" Vernon and Michael Bosquez; and his grandson Bobby Bosquez.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his sister Mary Adams (Andy); his children, Wendy Conklin (David), Debbie Vernon-Cain (Brenda), Jennifer Vernon and Bob Bosquez; and his grandchildren, Brad, Jake Conklin, Ella Grubb, Samantha Leeper (Matthew) and Billy Bosquez (Sarah). He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
