He is survived by: his sons, Mark VanWagner (Anna) of Lapeer, MI and Paul VanWagner (Jena) of Kingsley, MI; his sister Barabara VanWagner of Clinton Township, MI; and his grandchildren, Natalie, Madison, Niklas and Mara. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Muir Brothers Funeral Home (225 N Main St, Imlay City, MI 48444). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City (225 N Main St, Imlay City, MI 48444).
