We are sad to announce that on May 13, 2026, at the age of 91, Hattie Black of Inkster, Michigan, born in Jenkinsville, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Hattie farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Hattie is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Rube Martin and Art Lee O'Neal.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Penn-Orr Funeral Home - Inkster Chapel (3015 Inkster Rd, Inkster, MI 48141). A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, May 29th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Clements Episcopal Church (4300 Harrison St, Inkster, MI 48141). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 29th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location.
