He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Hannah Wanjiru Mungai; his children, Madeleine Wanjiku Muriuki (Paul Njaramba Muriuki), Tirus Mungai Kimani (Krista Rhine Kimani), Benjamin Kahura Mungai and John Kiarie Kimani; his grandchildren, Paul Njaramba Muriuki Jr., Ethan Kimani Muriuki, Lauren Wanjiru Kimani, Mya René Wanjiku Kimani, Isaiah Mungai Kimani, Stephen Paul Kahura Kimani, Olivia Louise Wairimu Kimani, Mark Macharia, Mckenzie Macharia, Michelle Wanjiru Mungai, Melvin Kimani Mungai, Joslin Wanjiru Kimani, Jeremiah Mungai Kimani, Jenna Wanjiku Kimani, Madison May Kimani and Macaela Ann Kimani; and his siblings, Nancy Gichiru of Keyna, Evans Njau Mungai of Kenya, Margaret Njeri Mungai of Arizona, USA, Rosalind Nduta Mungai of Boston, USA and John Kiarie Mungai of Keyna.
