He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence George and Viva Dolores Colwell (Freer); and his brother Ray Colwell. He is survived by: his former wife Barbara J. Kilduff; his wife Barb Colwell of Orleans; his children, David Colwell of Garden City, Diane Parker (Nick) of Gaylord and Christopher "Topher" Colwell (Charlene) of Holland; and his grandchildren, Jackson Parker, Ryan Parker, Riley Colwell, Cameron Colwell, Emerson Colwell and Barrett Colwell.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lake Funeral Home (3521 S State Rd, Ionia, MI 48846). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Steele Street Hall (115 S Steele St, Ionia, MI 48846).
