James Purkey Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Purkey of Ionia, Michigan, who passed away on May 27, 2021 at the age of 32. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Robert and Nancy Guernsey; and his sister Heidi Purkey. He is survived by: his parents, Mark Purkey and Hanna Bengel (Ken) of Stanton; his daughter Cayden Purkey of Ionia; his grandparents, James and Beverly Purkey of Florida; his girlfriend Anais Garcia of Ionia; his brother Nick Purkey (Breeanna) of Ionia; his niece Hanna; and his stepmother Brenda Purkey of Ionia. He is also survived by 3 step brothers, 1 step sister and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
