Patrick William Kelly Obituary
We announce the death of Patrick William Kelly (Ionia, Michigan), who passed away on September 1, 2026, at the age of 84. Patrick will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert William and Dorothy Kelly; and his siblings, Robert Kelly, Elaine Wood and Mary Ellen Westveer.
He is survived by: his wife Adelynne; his children, Paula Wood (David) and Eric Kelly (Amy); his grandchildren, Patrick Wood and Dr. Lindsey Wood; his siblings, David Kelly (Mary), Sally Peters (Buck), Kathleen Johnson (Don) and Tim Kelly (Sis); and his in-laws, Alan Fletcher (Cathie), Arnie Fletcher (Pat), Aleata Vruggink (Jay), Andrew Fletcher (Carol) and Aaron Fletcher (Bev). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Steel Street Hall (115 S Steele St, Ionia, MI 48846).
In lieu of flowers, the family is encouraging donations be made to the Ionia Community Library Foundation (raising funds for a new library) at ioniaready.org or checks can be made out to ICLF and mailed to 126 E. Main St., Ionia, MI 48846 or to Ionia Community Awareness (Local organization that raises awareness and funds to help community members facing cancer in Ionia County). Donations may also be made at the Celebration of Life.
