He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Stephen and Norma Louise O'Mara (Shoemaker); and his sister Susan Csonka. He is survived by: his wife Diane; his sons, Phillip O'Mara (Jessica) of Manning, SC, Bradley O'Mara of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Scott O'Mara (Amber) of Byron Center, MI; his grandchildren, Taylor, Jayden, Finn, Payne, Macy, Raygen, Charlotte, Theodore and Henry; and his siblings, Onette McKenna, Colleen Goodman (Larry), David O'Mara (Gwen), Patrick O'Mara (Deb), Robert O'Mara (Patricia), Stephen O'Mara (Cathy) and Thomas O'Mara (Darcy). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lake Funeral Home (3521 S State Rd, Ionia, MI 48846). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ss Peter & Paul Catholic Church (434 High St, Ionia, MI 48846).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Phil's memory to the ALS Association.
