She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert "Spike" Backlund and Margaret "Getina" Backlund (Cavalieri); her husband Arthur "Artie" Gatzow; her siblings, Ronald Backlund and Joyce Allen; and her daughter Kim Whiting.
She is survived by: her son Michael Gatzow (Monica) of Florence, Wisconsin; her son-in-law Ric Whiting of Sobieski, Wisconsin; her grandchildren, Michaela Johnson (Kameron) of Rhinelander, Wisconsin, Mariah Gatzow Mayaleh (Mohammed) of Champlain, Minnesota, Nathan Whiting and Nicholas Whiting of Sobieski, Wisconsin; her great grandchild Khalil Mayaleh; her sister Ann McMahon (Dan) of Iron Mountain; and her siblings-in-law, Doug Allen of Kingsford and Sandy Tryber of Oak Creek. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
