It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James P. Peebles in Iron Mountain, Michigan, who passed away on January 15, 2026, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Peebles and Dorothy Peebles (Gardner); his stepfather Frank Oien; his sister Darlene Lindstrom; and his brothers-in-law, Kenneth Lindstrom and Larry Trekas.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Larson; his children, Lori Unger (Alan) of Breitung Township, Shari VanRemortel (John) of Breitung Township and Michael Peebles of Phoenix, Arizona; his grandchildren, Lindsay Rigoni (Steve), Kristin Dorothy (Zach), Alison Bray (Caleb) and Bradley VanRemortel; his great grandchildren, Anthony, Claire Rigoni, Alanna Dorothy, Ellis, Adaline and Violet Bray; and his sister-in-law Carol Trekas. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
