He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lovato and Theodora Lovato (Cazzola); his father-in-law Tom (Pat Wright); his brother Ed Lovato; his siblings-in-law, Tom Jr., Donald Wright and Betty Jean Wright; his close friend Leno St. Juliana; and his pet Bojo.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Wright; his children, John Jr. Lovato (Wendy) of Crystal Falls and Tammy Hendrickson (Roger) of Crystal Falls; his sister Linda Monette (Paul) of Stephenson; his grandchildren, Tyler Lovato (Skylah) of Oshkosh, Kelsi Hendrickson (Marco Luna) of Grand Rapids, Amber Denell (Jake) of Oshkosh and Riley Hendrickson (Taylor Honkala) of Crystal Falls; and his great grandchild Clarke Ann Denell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
