With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Melany E. Laydon (Iron Mountain, Michigan), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 29, 2025 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Applin and Betty Applin (Pierce); her husband Jim; and her brothers, Michael and Kelly Applin.
She is survived by: her children, Ashlie Laydon (Garren Andrews) of White Salmon, WA and Adam Laydon (Danielle) of Kingsford; her grandsons, Gavyn and Ryken Laydon; her sisters, Christine Ameen and Lisa Goudreau (Ray); her close friend Tom Zimmerman; and her pet Josie.
