In loving memory of Richard E. Schalow (Iron Mountain, Michigan), who departed this world on December 11, 2025 at the age of 81. Richard leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Schalow and Pauline Schalow (Hainey); his sister Carol; and his brother-in-law Michael Arrigo. He is survived by: his wife Maggie; and his children, Michael Schalow (Kris) of Iron Mountain, MI, Robert Schalow (Angela) of Aurora, WI, Richard Schalow, Jr. (Bonnie) of Pembine, WI, Dawn Schuch (Jack) of Spread Eagle, WI and Carrie Rankin (Antonio) of Iron Mountain, MI. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law along with their spouses; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (308 Florence Ave, Florence, WI 54121). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (395 Hamilton Ave, Kingsford, MI 49802).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Florence, Wisconsin.
