He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Schalow and Pauline Schalow (Hainey); his sister Carol; and his brother-in-law Michael Arrigo. He is survived by: his wife Maggie; and his children, Michael Schalow (Kris) of Iron Mountain, MI, Robert Schalow (Angela) of Aurora, WI, Richard Schalow, Jr. (Bonnie) of Pembine, WI, Dawn Schuch (Jack) of Spread Eagle, WI and Carrie Rankin (Antonio) of Iron Mountain, MI. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law along with their spouses; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Florence, Wisconsin.
