It is with sadness that the passing of James R. Oberg (Iron River, Michigan) is shared. James, born on July 3, 1952 in Stambaugh, Michigan, passed away on October 19, 2026. James will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Oberg and Bernice Oberg; and his brother Robert Oberg. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Oberg; his sons, Gar Lutes (Shannon) and Ger Lutes (Kim); his grandchildren, Alexis, Ashlyn, Luella and Parker Lutes; his brother Mark Oberg (Lynn); and his sister-in-law Esther Oberg. He is also survived by many other family members and dear friends.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Jacobs Funeral Home (405 W Cayuga St, Iron River, MI 49935).
