It is with great sadness that we announce the death of JoAnn Eva Mattson of Ironwood, Michigan, who passed away on April 2, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of JoAnn Eva Mattson to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John L. Strand and Lovida Christine Strand (Olsen); her husband Ernest Mattson; and her siblings, Ronald, Eunice, Ruth, June and Patricia.
She is survived by: her children, Carrie Steinlicht (Scott) of Brookings, Sheri Mattson of Ironwood and Paul Mattson (Dori) of Ironwood; her brother John Strand; and her grandchildren, Corissa Mattson of Ann Arbor, Bo Mattson of Ironwood, Carl Steinlicht of Brookings and Johanna Steinlicht of Brookings. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
