He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Hawkinson; his children, Michael Kowaleski Jr. of Phoenix, Amanda Bennett (Brandon) of Mayer and Mitchell Kowaleski (Punahele) of Maui, Hawaii; his granddaughters, Evey and Ella Bennett; his brother Edward Kowaleski (Joann) of Arbor Vitae; and his brothers-in-law, John Hawkinson (Susie) and Dale Hawkinson (Jackie). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, his many music students, other relatives, and friends.
