He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Bartanen and Ruth Bartanen (Lammi); his wife Merry Bartanen (Wiig); his brother Richard Bartanen; and his sister-in-law Carole Bartanen.
He is survived by: his siblings, Bruce Bartanen, Linda Bonetti (Mike), Steve Bartanen (Lynn) and Sally Healey; his sister-in-law Robin Bartanen; his niece Heather Bjorne; his nephew Wayne Bjorne (Stefanie); his grandchildren, Christian Martin, Rachel Chaplin (Matthew), Zachary Martin, Kira Martin, Brennan Bjorne and Isabella Bjorne; and his great grandchild Henry Chaplin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to a veterans' charity of your choice in memory of Charlie.
