She was predeceased by: her husband George Brewer; her sons, Steven and William; her sister Carol Liubakka (Donald); and her sisters-in-law, Lizanne Huot and Jean Jenkin.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Lori Brewer; her children, Ciara (Austin Brewer), Bonnie Brewer, Seth Brewer (Ashley) and Nathan Brewer; her stepsons, George Brewer (Donna) of Texas and David Brewer of Florida; her brother Dr. Sam Huot of South Dakota; her extended family, Rose and Bob Saxwold of Ishpeming; and her friend Gwinn. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home (400 N 3rd St, Ishpeming, MI 49849). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 1:30 PM at the same location. Claire was a 20-year member of RSVP where she had the opportunity to help with many organizations and make many new friends.
