Diana T. Schaffer Obituary

We bid farewell to Diana T. Schaffer of Ishpeming, Michigan, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 28, 2025 at the age of 86. Diana touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Diana may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Diana touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Liepinaitis and Mary Liepinaitis (Paulikis); her stepfather James Samuels; and her brother Joseph Liepinaitis. She is survived by: her husband Frank C. Schaffer of Ishpeming; her daughter Donna Poirier (Tod) of Ishpeming; and her sister-in-law Mary Liepinaitis of Romeo, MI. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. Peter Cathedral (311 W Baraga Ave, Marquette, MI 49855). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
