It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Edmund Holmgren of Ishpeming, Michigan, who passed away at the age of 85, on June 6, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmund C. Holmgren and Laura Holmgren (Endahl); and his siblings, Lowell Holmgren, Ann Rex, Doris Pellonpaa and Althea Doney.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Holmgren; his children, Laurie Gardner (Steve) and Darren Holmgren (Jenny); his grandchildren, Jordan Mitchell, Mikayla Mitchell, Grace Holmgren and Luke Holmgren; and his great grandchildren, Esme, Leo, Jayden and Elliot Jylha. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Bethany Lutheran Church (715 Mather Ave, Ishpeming, MI 49849). A prayer will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 12:45 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 1:45 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Bethany Lutheran Church, or UPAWS in memory of Ed.
