He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Peterson and Agnes Peterson (Quayle); his wife Midge; his children, Brooke Peterson of Baraboo, WI and John Peterson (Jen) of Ishpeming; his brother Paul Peterson (Joanne) of Aurora, IL; his grandchildren, LJ, Isabel and Cadence; his sisters-in-law, Donna Moyle and Laurie Dahlke; his in-laws, Bill and Rosie Gerou; and his brother-in-law Dennis Moyle. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews; and several close friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home (400 N 3rd St, Ishpeming, MI 49849). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In his memory, the family asks that donations be made to the Fred Waara Chapter of Trout Unlimited—because nothing would make him smile more than knowing the next generation is casting a line.
