He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. John Massie and Mary Louise Massie (Massa); his nieces, Michelle Decaire and Holly Racine; his nephew Casey Massie; and his siblings-in-law, Kari Massie, Carol Baker (Elaine) and Carl Baker (Wayne Cooper).
He is survived by: his children, Sophia Massie-Perez (Cesar Perez), Miranda Massie (Carlos Hatcher) and Aaron Massie (Jacquelyn Appel); his grandchild Harper Massie; and his siblings, Michael Massie (Debbie), Jim Massie (Cheryl), John Massie (Lois), Jeffery Massie, Jaye Massie, Peggy Racine (Jerry) and Jo Anne Decaire (Randy). He is also survived by 21 nieces and nephews, many precious cousins and countless beloved friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 5th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (1889 Prairie Ave, Ishpeming, MI 49849). A Mass will be held on Friday, June 5th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
