It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stanley A. Uitto of Ishpeming, Michigan, born in Negaunee, Michigan, who passed away on February 14, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew Uitto and Lempi Uitto (Polkki); his wife Betty Uitto (Besola); his siblings, Donald Uitto (Hazel), Harvey Uitto and Elvi Noldin (Sherman); and his brothers-in-law, Melvin Besola (Irma), Alan and Lee Besola (Gail).
He is survived by: his children, Lori Boase (Steven) of Negaunee, Julie Dunn (Todd) of Las Vegas, NV and David Uitto of Ishpeming; his grandchildren, Jessica Gustitis (Jim), Courtney Verellen (Michael), Rachel Harper (Terry) and Cory Dunn (Megan); his great grandchildren, Ava, Kalli, Brody, Ben, Blake, Henry, Jacob and Clover; his siblings-in-law, Jean, Eugene Bilkey, Barbara Besola and Ruth Uitto; and his close friend Bill Holm. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Bethel Lutheran Church 333 E. Ridge St. Ishpeming, MI 49849 in memory of Stanley.
