She was predeceased by: her parents, Gloriana Bushong (Flaugher) and Earl E. "Scar" Bushong; her son Michael Skewis; her grandson Richard Burchfield; her brother Lee Bushong; her siblings-in-law, Sharon Johnson, Nancy Skewis, Joe Hebert and Jim Mead; and her nephew Don Hebert.
She is survived by: her husband Michael J. Skewis; her granddaughters, Michaela Skewis and Morgan Britton (James); her great grandchildren, Julia and Dean Britton; her siblings, Sandra Mead, Sheila Sullivan (Al), Lloyd Bushong (Diana) and Leslie Bushong; her mother-in-law Mary Skewis; and her siblings-in-law, James Skewis (Vicky), Peggy Petersen (Gary) and Rosemary Korpi (Roland). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home (400 N 3rd St, Ishpeming, MI 49849). A burial will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at the Ishpeming Cemetery (1705 N 2nd St, Ishpeming, MI 49849).
