The memory of Bonnie Ellen Barnes of Ithaca, Michigan, who passed away on May 19, 2025 at the age of 88, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh Lawrence and Helen MacLaren (McCuaig); her husband Donald Barnes; her siblings, Larry MacLaren, Mack MacLaren, Mary Ann Strong and Margaret Kemp; her daughter-in-law Betty Barnes (Mayes); her parents-in-law, Irving and Alice Barnes; and her siblings-in-law, Leon "Dick" Barnes, Robert Barnes and Doris Barnes.
She is survived by: her children, Scott Barnes (Valry), Tamara Puffpaff (Steven), Beth Berkimer (John), Carrie Hull (James), Crystal McCracken (Curt) and Mike Barnes; her brother Brick MacLaren (Jane); and her siblings-in-law, Levina Wright (Arley), Janine Barnes, Huong and Jim Kemp. She is also survived by 33 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Ithaca Senior Activity Center or the Ithaca Public Library.
