He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Swarthout and Lucille Swarthout (Reed); and his siblings, Norman, Burnus, Wallace, Larry Swarthout and Kathy Pocan.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Swarthout; and his children, Jim (Ashley Collins), Tim (Jackie Swarthout), Debra Hudgens (Tim Hood), Nick (Jennifer Swarthout) and Jeff (Brianna Swarthout). He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the White Birch Lakes Recreation Association's Clubhouse (4730 Finley Lake Rd, Farwell, MI 48622).
