He was predeceased by : his parents, Harvey Doran and Ida Doran; his parents-in-law, LaVern and Kathleen Smith; his brother Harvey; and his siblings-in-law, Jan Doran and Michael Smith.

He is survived by : his wife Kathy Doran of Ithaca, MI; his daughters, Bethany (Joseph Vozar) and Allison (Ryan Lamey); his grandchildren, Nora Vozar, Michael Joseph Vozar (M. J.), Judah Vozar, Caroline Lamey, Mitchell Vozar, Colt Lamey, Amelia Lamey and Walker Lamey; his sister Patricia; his siblings-in-law, Chuck Carroll of Tawas City, MI, Kevin, Renee Smith of Sumner, MI and Tom Gerhardt of East Tawas, MI; and his nieces and nephews, Dan, Jenn Doran, Pam Doran, Scott, Marlene Gerhardt, Brad Gerhardt, Matt Smith, Rita Ermatinger, Katie and Ian Scarborough.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the family for a future scholarship fund that will be established in honor of Mike.
