As Michael departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Michael may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Michael leaves behind.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustaff H. De and Vivian B. Van De (Cassady); his wife Sandy (Siekierka); and his brother Ted Van De Perre. He is survived by: his daughter Nanisa (Brad Chase); his stepsons, Kirk Guethlein of Breckenridge, MI and Clint (Becca Guethlein); his sister Suzanne (Larry White); and his aunt Willowdean Cassady. He is also survived by two grandchildren, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Memorials may be made to the wishes of the family or to Wounded Warriors in honor of Mike.
