It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernadette Katherine Hagmeier of Jackson, Michigan, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 12, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Vastadore and Dolores Vastadore; and her brother Terrence Vastadore. She is survived by: her children, Darlene Thomas, Ralph Shields, Bernadine Shields and Rosalie Shields; her grandchildren, Robert Casanova, Anthony Casanova, Lord Mark Thomas and Crystal Thomas Fletcher; and her siblings, Claire Mae Piccuillo, Charles Vastadore, Elizabeth Mangailardia, Mary Lou Weisend, Frank Vastadore and Karen Skavinski. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren.
