He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Smith and Alice Smith (VanEpps). He is survived by: his wife Judy Whiting; and his stepchildren, Lori Ashworth, Timothy Newman (Sandi), Coty Newman (Sarah) and Kayla Newman. He is also survived by 3 sisters and 1 brother; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
