Francis Xavier Berkemeier Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Francis Xavier Berkemeier of Jackson, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 1, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Berkemeier and Betty Berkemeier; his brother-in-law Doug Macklin; his niece Dorothy Alison Berkemeier; Francis B. Berkemeier and Elizabeth R. Berkemeier.

He is survived by: his wife Janet; his children, Monica DelMedico (Nick), Franz Berkemeier (Melia), Gretchen Hentemann (Eric), Andrea Brelje (Ben), Henry Berkemeier and Geraldine Berkemeier; his grandchildren, Francesca, Angelo DelMedico, Antonia, Theotokos, Zosia, Stella Maris Berkemeier, Gerard, Karl Hentemann, Louise and Paul Brelje; and his siblings, MaryJo Macklin, Phil Berkemeier (Mary), Paul Berkemeier (Marianne), Tom Berkemeier (Mary Rose), Elizabeth Simurdiak (Ron), Joe Berkemeier (Maria), John Berkemeier (Linda) and Steve Berkemeier (Margaret).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to St Mary's Star of the Sea, Birthline, Madonna University, or VHL Cancer Research.
