He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold R. Piper and Theresa A. Piper (Rooney); and his brother James M.. He is survived by: his siblings, Edward T. (Sherry), Robert J. and Patricia A. Chaffin. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
