He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Hammond and Fae Hammond (Kellicut); and his brothers, Raymond Hammond, Daniel Hammond and Larry "Buzz" Hammond.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Hammond (Willson); his children, Craig Hammond (Christina) and Susan Raiford (Jeremy); his grandchildren, Amara and Isaac Raiford; and his sister Fae Reed (Hammond).
